Scott was born in Colorado Springs, CO in 1964. Graduate of Coronado High School class of '82, with four generations of Colorado Natives spanning back to the 1800's, the Saunders family holds a long line of entrepreneurs. Scott gained his business sense starting with his grandfather who began a trucking business in 1948 and lived and raised his family on the westside of Colorado Springs. Scott went on to follow in his family's footsteps by working in his grandfather's shop, ME Saunders Construction​, at the young age of 10. He then worked alongside his parents at Saunders Trucking, and then Carefree Trucking established 1985. He expanded to open his own business, Carefree Heavy Haul in 2003, where he works alongside his son Ricky. He is well established and known for his problem solving skills, exceptional customer service, and reliability. A father of four and grandfather as well, Scott Saunders is here to continue bringing first class service to his fellow friends, family and neighbors. His biggest accomplishment is his family, and spends much of his free time in the mountains or behind the wheel of a racecar with is wife, family, and fellow friends and owners of Carefree Disposal. Scott enjoys much time spent traveling and camping with the love of his life Joanne, who he married in 2003. Joanne is his biggest supporter, and can most times be found at Scott's side, or outside Carefree in her food truck, Jo Jo's Chuck stop, where her food is divine!
